TPAS Cymru’s Management Committee 2012/13

The Management Committee is the governing body of TPAS Cymru and consists of elected representatives from our membership plus other representatives from partner organisations. The Management Committee, in collaboration with senior staff, decides strategy, priorities and policies and ensures that TPAS Cymru remains true to its core values of promoting tenant participation in communities throughout Wales.

The Management Committee has 9 elected representatives from tenants’ groups, 3 from local authorities, 6 from housing associations and 1 from supported housing organisations. Our Committee aims for diversity in representation to give us the ability to exchange information and ideas for the advantage of our Wales-wide membership. We also benefit from the experience of our honorary representatives from organisations such as CIH Cymru, Community Housing Cymru, Shelter Cymru, Tai Pawb and the Welsh Tenants Federation.

Each member of the Committee acts as a representative and ambassador for TPAS Cymru. Every member has the opportunity to raise the profile of TPAS Cymru by attending external meetings and events.

The Management Committee meets once every quarter to discuss a range of topics and issues and to plan the future work of the organisation.

Elections for Management Committee positions are held every November at our AGM. We would welcome nominations from our membership to help formulate the future of tenant participation
